Amendments to Public Provident Fund Scheme, 1968 and Senior Citizen Savings Scheme, 2004

The Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs) has issued three notifications on 13th March 2014 and 9th June 2014, amending the rules of the Public Provident Fund Scheme, 1968 and the Senior Citizen Savings Scheme, 2004.

The notifications, G.S.R.224(E), G.S.R.225(E), and G.S.R.392(E), introduce changes to the schemes, including the refund of deposits along with interest on an application in Form-F.

The amendments aim to improve the functionality and benefits of the schemes, providing more flexibility and convenience to subscribers.
