Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM)

The DAY-NULM aims to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to urban poor through skill training, entrepreneurship development, and self-employment.

Operational Guidelines

The program consists of two components: Self-Employment Programme (SEP) and Employment through Skills Training and Placement (EST&P).

Self-Employment Programme (SEP)

SEP has two sub-components: Individual Enterprises (SEP-I) and Group Enterprises (SEP-G).

Individual Enterprises (SEP-I)

Eligibility criteria include age (18-65 years), project cost (up to ₹2 lakh), and collateral on bank loan. The loan facility is a term loan with a repayment period of 3-7 years, and margin money is 10% of the project cost.

Group Enterprises (SEP-G)

Eligibility criteria include age (18-65 years), project cost (up to ₹10 lakh), and type of loan (term loan or working capital loan). The loan facility has a repayment period of 3-7 years, and margin money is 10% of the project cost. A collateral guarantee on bank loan is required.

Procedure for Sponsoring Applications

A Task Force at the Urban Local Body (ULB) level will sponsor applications, which will then be forwarded to banks for sanction.
