Extension of Banking Hours and E-Payment Deadline for VCES Dues

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a circular to extend banking hours in designated branches and the e-payment deadline for payment of dues under the Voluntary Compliance Encouragement Scheme (VCES).

The circular is applicable to all banks, including the Reserve Bank of India, and is effective immediately.

Designated branches of banks will remain open on December 31, 2013, and January 1, 2014, to facilitate payment of VCES dues.

The e-payment deadline for VCES dues has been extended to January 1, 2014.

Banks are required to accept payment of VCES dues on these extended dates.

The extended banking hours and e-payment deadline are intended to facilitate smooth payment of VCES dues and avoid any inconvenience to taxpayers.
