Master Circular on Allied Activities

This circular consolidates instructions on allied activities of Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs).

Entry into Insurance Business: NBFCs are permitted to enter into insurance business as agents or brokers, subject to certain conditions.

Issue of Credit Cards: NBFCs are allowed to issue credit cards, but they must comply with the guidelines on credit card business.

Issue of Co-branded Credit Cards: NBFCs can issue co-branded credit cards in collaboration with banks, subject to certain conditions.

Distribution of Mutual Fund (MF) Products: NBFCs are permitted to distribute MF products, but they must comply with the guidelines on distribution of MF products.
