Priority Sector Lending Guidelines

The Reserve Bank of India has outlined guidelines for lending to the priority sector, which includes:

Agriculture (Direct and Indirect finance): Finance to individual farmers, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), and others for agriculture and allied activities.

Micro and Small Enterprises (Direct and Indirect Finance): Finance to micro and small enterprises for various activities.

Micro Credit: Finance to individuals or groups for microfinance activities.

Education loans: Finance to individuals for education purposes.

Housing loans: Finance to individuals for housing purposes.
