Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM)
The DAY-NULM aims to reduce poverty and vulnerability of urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities.
Selection of Beneficiary and Procedure for Sponsoring Applications: A Task Force at the Urban Local Body (ULB) level will be responsible for selecting beneficiaries and sponsoring applications.
Educational Qualifications and Training Requirement: Various training programs will be implemented, including Employment through Skills Training and Placement (EST&P), Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP), and follow-up entrepreneurial support to individual and group entrepreneurs.
Pattern of Financial Assistance: Financial assistance will be provided to beneficiaries in the form of loans and subsidies. The pattern of financial assistance will vary depending on the type of enterprise or project.
Procedure for Interest Subsidy to Banks: Two procedures have been outlined for interest subsidy to banks, namely Procedure I and Procedure II. Claims will be settled as per the prescribed procedure.
Individual Enterprises (SEP-I) – Loan and Subsidy: Eligibility criteria for individual enterprises include age, project cost, collateral guarantee on bank loan, repayment, and margin money.
