Fora under Lead Bank Scheme
The scheme consists of three fora: Block Level Bankers’ Committee, District Consultative Committee (DCC), and State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC).
District Consultative Committee (DCC)
The DCC is constituted by the Lead District Manager and meets quarterly to discuss credit plans, review performance, and address grievances. The committee also holds public meetings and has a yearly calendar of meetings.
State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC)
The SLBC is constituted by the Convener Bank and meets quarterly to discuss state-level credit plans, review performance, and address grievances. The committee also has a yearly calendar of meetings and maintains a standardized website with relevant information and data.
Implementation of Lead Bank Scheme
The scheme is implemented through the preparation of credit plans, potential linked credit plans, and monitoring of performance.
The scheme aims to improve the banking system’s efficiency and effectiveness in serving the needs of the economy.
