Lead Bank Scheme Structure
The Lead Bank Scheme has three tiers of fora: Block Level Bankers’ Committee, District Consultative Committee, and State Level Bankers’ Committee.
District Consultative Committee (DCC)
The DCC is constituted by the Lead District Manager and meets quarterly to discuss credit plans, review performance, and address grievances.
The DCC has a specific agenda, and the Lead District Manager plays a key role in its functioning.
A quarterly public meeting is held to address grievances, and a district-level review committee meets to review performance.
An annual calendar of meetings is prepared for the DCC and district-level review committee.
State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC)
The SLBC is constituted by the Convener Bank and meets quarterly to discuss credit plans, review performance, and address grievances at the state level.
The SLBC has a revised agenda, and a yearly calendar of meetings is prepared.
The SLBC website is standardized to provide information and data, and liaison with the state government is maintained.
Capacity building, training, and sensitization programs are conducted for the SLBC.
Implementation of Lead Bank Scheme
The scheme is implemented through the preparation of credit plans, potential linked credit plans, and monitoring of performance.
