Revision of Interest Rates for PPF Scheme and SCSS
The Reserve Bank of India has revised the interest rates for the Public Provident Fund Scheme, 1968 (PPF Scheme, 1968) and the Senior Citizens Savings Scheme, 2004 (SCSS, 2004).
Effective from 01.04.2013:
The interest rate for PPF Scheme, 1968 has been revised to 8.7% per annum.
Effective from 01.04.2014:
The interest rate for PPF Scheme, 1968 has been revised to 8.7% per annum, and for SCSS, 2004 to 9.2% per annum.
These revised interest rates will be applicable to the aforementioned schemes.
